The film adopts a documentary style in telling the story of a 10 year-old Buddhist novice, ‘Little Lama’, and the effect that television has on his life. When Little Lama returns home for the New Year, he discovers a television in his family home. He becomes transfixed by it - at once excited and puzzled by the differences between the secular and religious life, reality and legends, and local and introduced culture.

“It operated at a deeply humanistic level and was imbued with a sense of nostalgia for dying traditions and a stoic acceptance of the inevitability of change.” - While Crane Films

This film is first-time online released in the UK and Ireland.
