Echoes of the Rainbow Introduction
Winner of the “Crystal Bear for the Best Film in the Children’s Jury “Generation Kplus”” category at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival, Echoes of the Rainbow follows the story of a Hong Kong shoe shop on the historic Wing Lee Street told through the eyes of eight-year- old Big Ears. Following the adventures of daily life for Big Ears and his brother Desmond, Echoes of the Rainbow is a vibrant picture seeped in nostalgia, however, the film explores the dark side of society including corruption and bribery.
